Abstract

Investigations were carried out to study the effect of various concentrations of Paclobutrazol (PP 333) and different doses of nitrogen on the quality traits as well as yield of tomato. The results revealed that application of 6 mg/l PP 333 and 150 kg N/ha improved acidity (0.586%), T.S.S. (6.28%) and specific gravity (1.022) of fruits highest chlorophyll content (13.45 mg/g) of plants was recorded by the application of 10 mg/l PP 333 and 150 kg N/ha in tomato cv. Pusa Early Dwarf However, combination P3 N2 (PP333 along with 100kg N/ha) recorded the highest yield as well as net profit and cost: benefit ratio in cv. Pusa Early Dwarf.
