Nutrient plays an important role in improving productivity and quality of guava. It has been observed that nutrients applied without an organic matter were less effective in improving the guava production even at higher doses and more effective when applied with organic matter. Keeping in view the conservation of soil health and quality production on long-term basis, the present investigation on two year field experiment was conducted on 15-year old guava trees ell. Sardar having uniform vigour, size and productivity during winter season crop of 2006–07 and 2007–08 to estimate the nutrient sources for sustainable guava production. The fertilizers were applied on nitrogen equivalent basis where, results indicates, that highest total soluble solids (12.33 ″Brix), total sugars (7.76%), ascorbic acid (217.41 mg/100g of pulp), pectin (0.66%) of guava fruits and available soil nitrogen 258.80 kg ha′ were found maximum when centper cent nitrogen was applied through poultry manure augmented with Azotobacter and Azospirillium.
