Effect of growth regulators and KN03 on growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L.)

Abstract

Pot experiment was conducted in the Kharif, 2004 to assess the effect of foliar application of growth regulators NAA (10, 20, 30ppm) and 2, 4-D (IO, 20, 30ppm) and nutrient KNO1 (100, 200, 300 ppm) on growth and yield of soybean. These growth regulators were applied at bud initiation stage and 50 per centjlowering ofthe crop. Among the physiological parameters, maximum grain yield (24.83 g/plant), biological yield (50.60 g/plant), test weight (172.67 g/plant) and leaf area, dry matter accumulation, RGR, NAR, CGR were recorded in NAA 20 ppm concentration. Correlation analysis revealed that grain yield was positively correlated with all the physiological parameters at different stages of crop.
