Abstract

Among the various soil amendments, sodium nitrate produced least wilt incidence on all the tomato cvs. Tested, followed by other treatments viz., potassium nitrate, potassium chloride and biogas slurry. The enumeration of pathogen population revealed that pathogen population was least in sodium nitrate amended soil. Highest plant height 94.66 cm was measured in BT18 and fruit number per plant of 7.33 in BWR-5 cv. of tomato receiving sodium nitrate treatment.
