The present study was undertaken to know the socio-economic characteristics of rice and wheat growers and its relationship with their overall adoption level. A list of farmers following rice and wheat rotation in each selected village was preparedand a random sample of two hundred forty farmers was selected. It was found that almost equal per cent of the respondents (46.67%) and (40.00%) belong to middle age and oldage, respectively. 43.34 per cent were educated up to middle school, 52.50 per cent hadan operational land holding up to 2.5 acres, 64.
