Abstract

A clinical case of babesiosis with typical symptoms of high rise of temperature, haemoglobinuria and atypical symptoms like blood in milk and faeces were recorded from a crossbred cow. Clumping of Babesia bigemina infected erythrocytes appeared to be an unusual observation. The animal was treated successfully with two doses of diminazine aceturate @ 10 mgkg-1 body weight given at 24 h interval.
