Some haematological profiles of cases of Hepatozoon canis infection revealed normocytic normochromic, microcytic hypochromic and macrocytic normochromic anaemia. Similarly, biochemical studies showed elevated levels of serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (SGOT), serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT), alkaline phosphatase, hyperproteinemia and hypoproteinemia with reversed albumin globulin ratio. The blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine were elevated.
