The economic impact of helminth control on milk production was studied over a period of four weeks in 47 cattle infected either with Fasciola or amphistomes, Fasciola and amphistome, and amphistome and strongyles. The results of anthelmintic treatment on milk production of treated animals were compared with control animals and uninfected untreated animals. Following anthelmintic treatment, an increase in milk production of 18.18%, 5.63%, 20.35% and 4.41% were recorded in animals.
