Abstract

The present study was carried out to assess the mineral (Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, Co) levels in serum of buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) naturally infected with paramphistomosis. The effect of oxyclozanide (Neozide) and triclabendazole on mineral profile was also studied. Mineral profile of infected buffaloes showed significant (P<0.05) reduction in the iron level. However, after treatmet with oxyclozanide and triclabendazole, the iron level was found to increase significantly (P<0.05) in infected and treated respective groups.
