Aa total of 232 pooled faecal samples (cage wise) of different wild birds from Kamla Nehru Zoological Garden, Kankaria Zoo, Ahmedabad, Shri Sayaji Baugh, Baroda, Sakkarbagh Zoo, Junagadh and Rajkot Municipal Corporation Zoo, Rajkot were examined to assess parasitic infection. Out of these, 132 (57.32%) were found positive for parasitic infection. Eggs of Ascaridia sp. and Capillaria sp. were observed in 56 (51.85%) and 35 (32.40%) pooled faecal samples, respectively, while the cocysts of Eimeria sp. were observed in 92 (69.17%) samples. Ova of trematode, segment of cestode and mites or mite ova were observed in 19 (14.28%), 8 (6.01%) and 4 (3.0%) samples respectively.
