Inter-transmissibility of Sarcoptes scabiei var. caprae from goats to healthy and immunosuppressed rabbits was studied. The haematological changes were also recorded in the experimentally infected rabbits. S. scabiei var. caprae could infect rabbit only for a transitory period and was also unable to establish the infection both to healthy as well as immunosuppressed rabbits. The eosinophil count was observed significantly high in experimentally infected rabbits (P<0.01).
