Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to describe the ultra structural surface morphology of infective larvae of Cooperia punctata, the bankrupt worm of cattle. The head end of the larva was cone shaped bearing along arrow like structure directed anteriorly. Transverse striations were seen on the body and sheath. The tail was simple with a spoon-like structure at the tip. Morphometerical studies were carried out under light microscope.
