Efficacy of AAU-NW-EVM-1 and AAU-NW-EVM-2 against scabies in goat

Abstract

The ectoparasiticidal effect of AAU-NW-EVM-1 and AAU-NW-EVM-2 was tested against clinically affected goats with scabies caused by Sarcoptes scabei var capris. Five percent ointment (w/w) of the plant extract was compared with standard drug ivermectin @ 200μg kg−1 body weight subcutaneously and numbers of mite sq.cm−1 were recorded till 28 days based on microscopic findings.
