Serodiagnosis of cattle naturally infected with two species of Sarcocystis was conducted by enzyme immuno transfer blot (EITB). The antibovine IgG conjugate was used at 1:1000 dilution. The dilution of known positive serum was assayed using Dot-ELISA for both Sarcocystis bovicanis and S. bovifelis. Out of 300 blood samples examined for S. bovicanis in cattle by EITB, specific antibodies were detected in 175 (58.3%) and 89 (29.6%) for S. bovifelis. The polypeptides 170 and 36 kDa were identified in all the positive serum samples of S. bovicanis and 76 and 83 kDa peptides in S. bovifelis. The sensitivity and specificity were found to be 87.5 and 93.5 per cent and 81.8 and 87.5 per cent for S.bovicanis and S. bovifelis respectively.
