Abstract

Out of 360 faecal samples screened over a period of one year from more than hundred lions at Bannerghatta Biological Park, 56.3% samples were found positive for Toxascaris leonina eggs. Further, two lions died during the period of study revealed large number of adult Toxascaris leonina worms in their gastrointestinal tract.
