A fatal case of concurrent infection of Trypanosoma evansi and Dirofilaria immitis is reported in a non-descript bitch. The clinical picture was complex associated with anaemia, neutrophilic leucocytosis, liver insult (hepatomegaly, increased ALT and SAP levels) and cardiac arrhythmia. Despite treatment the bitch collapsed on the 7th day post initiation of therapy.
