Abstract

Anticoccidial effect of two herbal drugs AV/CCP-12 and AV/CCP-22 (M/S Dabur Ayurvet) were evaluated and compared with the standard ionophore compound maduramycin. Efficacy was assessed based on the oocyst output, bodyweight gain and survival rate of chicks used for the experimental study. The efficacy of drug AV/CCP-22 could be compared to maduramycin whereas AV/CCP-12 did not respond well in the cure of coccidiosis.
