Forty-four species of birds reared at Nandankanan zoo were screened for presence of gastrointestinal parasitic infection during three seasons. The overall prevalence rate was 29.54% (39/132). Nematodes were the predominant parasites where Ascaridia, Capillaria, Strongyle and Strongyloides spp. were diagnosed in 43.10, 18.97, 6.90 and 3.45% birds, respectively.
