A case of cutaneous myiasis was reported in a 1½ year old Rhode Island Red cock. The bird was invaded by large number of maggots on and around the vent to keel region. Microscopic examination of the maggots revealed that they belonged to the species Chrysomyia bezziana (dipteran fly).
