Abstract

Thelazia callipaeda infects domestic and wild animals and human beings. This communication reports the natural infection of T. callipaeda in dogs for the first time in the state. The basic knowledge of its occurrence in dogs will hopefully stimulate future epidemiological studies to define the prevalence, vector status and chemotherapy of infections in animals and human beings of the state.
