Abstract

Out of 324 buffalo carcasses examined at slaughter house in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh, an overall prevalence of hydatidosis in buffaloes was found to be 9.87% (25 in lungs and 7 in liver). The organ wise prevalence in lungs and liver was 78.12% and 21.87%, respectively, where as, infection rate of hydatidosis in buffalo bulls and the she buffaloes was found to be 10.71% and 12.29%, respectively.
