Abstract

Effect of Eimerian infection on growth of Barbari kids was studied in organized farm conditions. Two groups of kids (A and B), moderate and severely affected with coccidiosis, were separately maintained in similar conditions and their body weight increase was monitored from two months age onward up to nine month age. Analysis of data revealed a significant difference of 4.5 kg in body weights with moderately affected kids having higher body weight. The average daily gain in severely affected kids was much lower than modaretly affected kids.
