Skin scrapings were collected from 2 bullocks with history of alopecia and scratching dry crusty lesions in the hump region, presented to Department of Parasitology, Veterinary College, Bidar. The samples suspended in normal saline and subjected to centrifugation and microscopic examination revealed microfilaria in the skin sediment. They were identified as microfilaria of Stephenofilaria assamensis which measured 590 μm in length. Infected bullocks were treated with Ivermectin @ 200μg/kg body wt, with local application of Topicure herbal spray and complete recovery of skin lesions was observed after 21 days of treatment.
