Scat samples from a captive jackal (Canis aureus) kept in the Amirthi Zoological Park of Javadu Hills, Vellore, Tamil Nadu subjected to qualitative examination for endoparasitic infection, revealed parasitic infection with eggs of Nanophyetus (Troglotrema) salmincola, Ancylostoma sp., and oocysts of Isospora sp., and they were identified based on the standard taxonomical keys. The transmission and control measures of parasitic infection were discussed.
