Abstract

Concentrations of few minerals were estimated in blood plasma of female cattle (n= 11) showing moderate to severe natural infection of Theileria annulata. Levels of calcium, copper, sodium and potassium were significantly (P<0.01) lower in diseased animals in comparison to control. Levels of phosphorus, magnesium and zinc were also apparently lower in infected animals, though values did not differ significantly. Iron levels were non-significantly higher in infected animals.
