Pinworm infection in free range Indian langur monkeys (Presbytis entellus)

Abstract

Present study reports the cases of pinworm infection in free range Indian langur monkeys (Presbytis entellus). The disease was diagnosed by identifying the eggs and the worms passed out in the feces. The infection was treated by oral administration of ivermectin @ 0.4 mg/kg body weight through banana, twice at weekly interval.
