Abstract

A two-year-old, female goat was presented to the division of Surgery and Radiology, IVRI with the history of swollen left eye and blindness since 2 months. Clinical examination revealed ulcerated left eye with complete blindness. During tarsorraphy, Coenurus gaigeri cyst was found below the eye ball as a white sac containing clear fluid with scolices protruding out from the base. The cyst was successfully removed along with eyeball and parasitological examination revealed it as a C. gaigeri cyst. The animal recovered completely by 12th postoperative day without any complications.
