An incidence of acute cysticercosis due to Cysticercus tenuicollis occurred in six female and one male Berari goat kids 3–8 months old in a goat farm in Western Vidarbha, India. A total of seven goats died within a period of 20 days. Necropsy revealed multiple cysts attached to the liver, mesentery and peritoneum. Size of the cysts varied from 1 to 7 cm. Histopathological examination of liver revealed presence of channels caused by migration of the immature cysticerci along with granular degeneration and infiltration of mononuclear cells.
