Abstract

Five species of snails, Indoplanorbis exustus, Radix luteola, Melanoides tuberculata, Bithynia tentaculata var. kashmiriensis and Cryptozona bistrialis belonging to families, Planorbidae, Lymnaeidae, Thiaridae, Bithyniidae and Ariopahntidae were reported in rice crop fields of Punjab state. The taxonomic details of different species along with their morphological features and economic significance have been described.
