Abstract

Fresh scat sample from a wild leopard (Panthera pardus) from Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, Tamil Nadu, was subjected to qualitative examination. Eggs of Nanophyetus salmincola (Troglotrema), a less frequently recorded parasite in India were detected and identified based on the standard taxonomical keys. The transmission and control measures of the parasite is discussed.
