A participatory meeting was conducted on the topic “Importance and Conservation of traditional knowledge”. Open interactions and interviews were conducted with village headmen and traditional healers and information was collected from themon the traditionally used plants used for medicinal purposes. The information gathered through regular and informal visits to those villages and was recorded for further studies. The success rate of treatment claimed by local folks was 55-65 %. The people are less not economically sound so they rely heavily on traditional methods of veterinary practices which are mostly based on plants or their parts to treat the various ailments of animals.
