Bachaur is a medium sized draft purpose breed with its breeding tract mostly Madhubani, Darbhanga and Sitamarhi districts of Bihar and presently is in the verge of extinction. Since no data exists regarding the seminal parameters of this breed, this work was performed to evaluate seminal parameters of stored at 5 °C temperature of semen. A total of three healthy breeding Bachaur bulls aged 2.5 to 5 years were selected for the study which were maintained under identical managemental conditions. After storage of Bachaur Bull semen in 5 °C at refreezing temperature, the semen sample was evaluated on 0, 2, 4, and 6 days. The average percentage of individual motility, livability, abnormality, HOST and acrosomal integrity of Bachaur Bull semen upon storage at 5 °C after extension with TRIS buffer for 6 days declined significantly on days 0, 2,4, and 6 except acrosomal integrity that did not show significant decline between days 4 and 6. On day 6 of storage of Bachaur bull semen, the average percentage individual motility, livability, abnormality, HOST and acrosomal integrity were 62.72±1.67, 69.11±0.71, 14.91±0.53 and 65.34±0.82, respectively. Paired t- test revealed significant difference in all semen parameters between day 0 and 2, day 2 and 4 or day 4 and 6 indicating progressive deterioration of seminal parameters of Bachaur Bull semen upon storage at 5 °C.
