The study identifies the information-retrieving habits of art faculty members at the University of Bangalore and focuses on preferred information sources, type of information sources and the methods of information access. Questionnaire method was used for this study to collect information from the Arts faculties of Bangalore University, Bangalore. The study finds that most common purpose for retrieving information among the respondents is to prepare class lectures followed by for updating their knowledge. Moreover, it reveals that faculty members find the scarcity of useful information sources and most particularly the lack of journals in carrying out research.
