The transformation from traditional libraries to Library 4.0 is a major change in library and information science, thanks to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and the use of new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data analytics. This paper explores how 4IR has changed libraries, focusing on the change from physical custodianship to active information facilitation and community engagement. The paper also encourages innovation and creativity through maker spaces and experiential learning programs. It also shows how the changing roles of librarians are carefully looked at, with a focus on the need for a wide range of skills, such as digital literacy, data management, and thinking about the moral implications of using technology. In the end, this study makes it clear how important libraries are for promoting lifelong learning, making sure everyone has equal access to information, and keeping up with the fast-paced technological changes of the 21st century.
