The process of data collection, analysis and interpretation must be open to the audience for evaluation as is the case in studies on research metrics. Metric studies are very much essential for assessing the performance and impact of research. In this regard, papers of Volume 13, Issue 1 of KIIT Journal of Library and Information Management publish the results of significant Metric Studies, User Studies, and Digital Rights Management & Intellectual Property in Libraries.

The first paper by Garvita and Meera uses Lotka's law for analyzing the pattern of authorship and various collaboration measures in the field of Geology literature during 1989-2020 while the second paper by Das et al provides complete understanding of awareness and usage of resources of the Parija Library among postgraduate students studying Library and Information Science (LIS) at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. However, the third paper by Sanyal provides trend analysis of the published news reports of three English dailies for four years collected from various libraries in India during COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic years. The fourth paper by Ravichandran and Rajendran evaluated the growth of mobile cloud computing research publications between 2015 and 2024.

The fifth paper by Das unfolded various dimensions of research productivity of Aitihya-The Heritage, a multi-lingual research Journal on Indology. The sixth paper by Srikanth vividly discussed crucial aspects of Digital Rights Management and Intellectual Property in Libraries. The last paper by Chattopadhyay and Ash analyzed study circle meetings organized by IASLIC during 2000 to 2024 in a pinpointed manner.

It is expected that the papers published in the current issue of KIIT Journal of Library and Information Management will be beneficial to the library practicing librarians, library administrators, policy makers, academicians and researchers as well.
