Mobile Cloud Computing Research Output: A Scientometric Study

The paper evaluates the growth of Mobile Cloud Computing research publications between 2015 and 2024 with 3328 research publications and 84049 citations. From the study, it is identified that a maximum of 499(14.99%) research publications are contributed in the year 2017, followed by 483(14.51%) publications in the year 2015, and 478(14.36%) publications in the year 2016. A maximum of 2999(50.84%) research publications were contributed by the field of computer science. A majority of 181(44.50%) research publications are contributed by conference paper, the journal IEEE Access is found to have contributed 104(21.62%) research publications. As an Institute, Beijing University of posts and telecommunications has the maximum of 80(18.22%) contributions. Country-wise distribution of documents shows that China leads the table with 901(30.74%) research publications. The highest citations were 3207(17.22%) from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the CPP is 94.32. the H-index is 19 and RCI is 2.22. The lowest citations of 627(3.37%) come from Vellore Institute of Technology, and the CPP is 14.58 , H-Index is 15 and RCI is 0.34.
