Abstract

The concept of literacy plays the most significant role in healthy and all round development of a nation. This study articulates the adult literacy campaign initiated in the county by taking a bird's eye view through the windows of public libraries in Delhi. This study covers almost all public libraries in Delhi operate by the government, private body and NGOs. It vividly addresses the reading habits, collection strength and service facilities offered to the general public.
