Annals of library and information studies (Alis): A bibliometric study

Abstract

This article focuses on a bibliometric study of the journal entitled “Annals of Library and Information Studies” published from 2011 to 2015. This bibliometric study covers the number of published articles, subject coverage, and patterns of authorship, geographical publications and assorted facets. The study finds ALIS has published the highest number of 61 articles in the year 2015. Moreover, the study finds that out of a total 173 articles, 106 articles were published by joint authors (two authors, three authors and more than three authors) while only 67 articles are contributed by single authors.
