Contribution of Non-formal Education in Promoting Literacy: An Experience from Lhuntse District of Bhutan

Abstract

The present study has been conducted in Lhuntse district of Bhutan. The investigator has taken 20 Non-formal instructors, 1 district educational officer and 130 Non-formal learners as sample for his investigation by using purposive sampling technique. For collection of data the investigator has prepared a questionnaire and interview scheduled. For the purpose of the analysis of the data, the responses of the learners and instructors of the centers were counted for their frequencies and percentages were calculated for the same. There were some open ended items which required description, those items were also scored and analyzed accordingly.
