The Indian society is changing rapidly due to the impact of globalization and advances made in information and communication. These advances have brought changes in the lifestyle preferences among the people and which have subsequently influenced the value pattern in the society. College going students are influenced the most as they are in the process of shifting phase from an academic career to the world of work. Looking at earlier research and studies, it is seen that values of these students have not been static, and their value pattern have changed during the periodically. The present investigation examined the personal values prevailing among the college going students with special reference to gender and discipline. The study findings revealed that the college students showed very high preferences for economic, and power values, and high preferences for aesthetic, and hedonistic values. Average inclination was noticed towards religious, and family prestige values, lower were seen for democratic, knowledge, and health values and lowest for social value.
