Abstract

Highlights the position and condition of the Imperial Library of Mughals during the rule of Babar. During his rule the emperor with the help of some scholars, calligraphists, painter or binder of books on manuscripts augmented the library considerably. Mentions that during those days, the Imperial Library gained a vast fame throughout the oriental world as the library was well-managed by its Kitab-dar (Librarian) Khoaja Mahammad with the help of Yogi Khan, who was also ex-librarian of Ibrahim Lodi.
