Abstract

Libraries are the hardcore for dissemination of knowledge and information in a technocratic modern society. Library legislation is of paramount importance to empower the appropriate authorities, overall control and co-operation for proper developments and to ensure adequate financial support and efficient administration by leaps and bounds within such society. In other words, legislation can play a pivotal role for organization, smooth flow of finance and development of a library system on proper line.
