The present paper is an attempt to give an overview of the use and application of Library Manager free ware as used in the Sadvidya pre university college library. The paper aims at giving realistic examples taken from various library operations as experienced at the library. It may be observed in the following paragraphs how effective and simple it is to apply this software in a in-house library set up. The software helps a upcoming, new library professional to easily understand and initiate various library operations without much dependency on others. From the screen shots one can understand how the data entry, issue and deposits, report generation and search functions can be carried out. It may be noted that, at present this software has been made commercial. When the authors experimented it was a free ware software.
