Evaluation of an Educational Website Based on a Well-structured Standard

Abstract

The main goal of the present stydy is evaluation of an educational website based on a well-structured standard. The standard developed is based on a deep review through the literature in the field. After having validated by a group of experts, the standard was conducted for evaluation of ‘Roshd’ educational website.

Roshd is an educational website affiliated to the Iran's Ministry of Education. The website provides educational and instructional contents for students of various levels up to university level. The standard was then distributed among a population of university experts who were asked to evaluate the Roshd website based on the standard criteria.

In all 10 participants evaluated the Roshd in respect of the standard items including the website quality and suitability of contents, conformity of contents with the website goal, and presenting interactive content, etc.
