With the help of various experiments in the thespian symbols Dr. Ram Kumar Verma has successfully attempted to portray his plays. At some places he has also used it into the management of stages. Needless to say thespian symbols are one of the most important elements of such plays. The objective behind the use of such melodramatic symbols is to provide a multidimensional expression to understand a particular complex situation without going into much detail. It not only assists the appearances and gestures of the actors but accentuates the whole expression of the drama itself. It is rather impossible to play a drama without use of such symbols. It helps in meaningful articulation of the complicated situations by creating a tacit dialogue between the writer of the play and the audience. The melodramatic symbols are the powerful factors behind the beauty of Dr. Vermas’ plays. In this paper I have tried to study the thespian symbols used by him in his plays.
