The Indian thinking tradition has accepted redemption (Moksha) as an ultimate goal of life and different philosophical sects have provided number of ways to attain it. Ramanuja advocated the devotional way i.e. Bhakti Marg, but it was not permitted for Shudras and women to adopt it and therefore a considerable section of Hindu society was deliberately devoid from attaining redemption or Moksha. However, in view of the above Discrimination he suggested a different way for them that was available for everyone. It was the way of Prappatti, which may be defined as extreme love towards God. In this way devotee surrenders himself to the God and accepts Him as his ultimate goal and as only way of attaining redemption. The followers of ‘Prappatti Marg’ ultimately bestowed with the blessings of God and nothing remains for him to attain as he finds by following this way the experience of God which is nothing but Moksha. The researcher has attempted in the present paper the ‘Idea of Prappatti Marg’ as propounded in the Indian Philosophy.
