Jahiz was born and lived in Basrah during 775 -868 A. D. He lost his father in his early childhood and grown with his mother in very poor and worst socio-economic conditions. But his interest in learning was very high and extraordinary. He was taking the shops of book sellers on rent and residing therein for reading and thinking in night hours.In this manner, Jahiz gained his knowledge and came out as a great thinker and prose-writer of his age. He called for freedom of human thought and advocated to honor the results of human thinking in all aspects of life including the religion and belief. Jahiz adopted a simple and free of craftsmanship style for his prose writings. No doubt, it was a big challenge in linguistic phenomenon of his century. His style was known in the history of Arabic language & literature with its simplicity, easiness & objectivity.Jahiz called for women wrights also, his views about women make him very advanced to his era, he written on various aspects of female society and suffered from criticism of the scholars of traditional thinking. He had been deemed in right earnest a pioneer of rationalist stream of Muslim philosophers and scholars like as Farabi, Ibn e Sena, Mutanabbi, Maarri etc.
