This paper aims to trace the technical communication in several phases. It explains the concept of technical communication and focuses on the various forms of technical communication and the role of language in the technical communication. Thus paper also traces the origin, growth and development of the technical communication that began with the Egypt physician, the Greek Historians and Philosophers, the Roman engineers, the American scholars, the English Medieval and Renaissance scientists, Modern prose writers, scientists and led to the 20th century global world.
