Abstract

This article deals with items made of glass, ceramic etc. which are subject to damage due to accumulated stress of stocking in warehouse. The inventory model of these items is developed with finite rate of production and inventory level is stock-dependent. Shortages are allowed and completely backlogged. The model is formulated in integral form with the objective of profit maximization. Model is supported with numerical example. Sensitivity of stress is camed out.
