Observations on different bird species of Nepal have been done. More than 870 species have been recorded which are about one tenth of known birds of the world that live and breed in this country. These species of birds belonging to different orders and families and some of them are dwindling and some are on increasing trend. Many birds are harmful to us therefore, their control has been studied. This kind of studies has added more knowledge about the distribution, ecology and status of several kind of birds now occuring in Nepal.
